PLC Programmer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated PLC Programmer with 2 - 3 years of experience in the automation and control systems field. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming and troubleshooting PLC systems, with a strong understanding of industrial processes. You will be responsible for developing, testing, and maintaining PLC programs to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and processes. Key Responsibilities: Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs for industrial automation systems. Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to design control systems for new projects. Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure optimal PLC performance. Provide on-site technical support and troubleshooting for PLC-related issues. Integrate PLC systems with other automation equipment such as sensors, actuators, HMIs and SCADA. Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including program specifications, manuals, and system configurations. Monitor and optimize control system performance, ensuring minimal downtime. Work closely with the maintenance team to ensure preventative and corrective maintenance of PLC-controlled equipment. Stay current on advancements in PLC programming techniques and software updates. • Qualifications: Associates degree in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field. 2 - 3 years of experience in working with Siemens S7 1200 / S7 1500 PLC programming. Proficient in FBD, SCL & LAD programming languages. Experience with SCADA systems is preferred. Familiarity with industrial communication protocols. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Experience with process control application programming is preferred. Understanding of process control systems and SCADA software. Working Conditions: Full-time position with confirmed growth path. Must be willing to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to heavy machinery and equipment. On-call support may be necessary in some situations.
