Job Description

As an experienced SIEM/MDR Platform Support Engineer (L2), your role will involve handling escalated technical issues and providing deeper expertise compared to L1 support. Your responsibilities will include: - Escalated Ticket Handling: - Handle escalated technical issues from L1 support, showcasing higher technical knowledge and problem-solving skills. - In-depth Troubleshooting: - Perform detailed investigations into technical problems by analyzing logs, data, and system configurations. - Data Integration and Configuration: - Integrate data and event feeds with the SIEM platform, implement smart connectors, and troubleshoot log source integration issues. - Collaboration with Engineering: - Work closely with engineering and development teams to resolve complex issues and suggest process and product improvements. - On-the-Job Training: - Train users on the SIEM platform and its features. - SIEM Platform Expertise: - Develop a deep understanding of the SIEM platform, its functionalities, and its integration with other security tools. - Security Operations Support: - Assist in designing correlation rules and training machine learning models within the SIEM context. As an SME on SIEM platforms, you should have: - Understanding of core SIEM system functionalities, including log collection, analysis, and reporting. - Technical troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve basic technical issues. - Strong customer communication skills to effectively explain technical issues and provide clear guidance. - Problem-solving skills to identify issues, analyze causes, and propose effective solutions. - Knowledge of security concepts, especially relevant to SIEM applications. - Proficiency in analyzing log files and standard debugging concepts. Your academic qualifications and certifications should include: - Bachelors degree or equivalent in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - Relevant security certifications. You are expected to have up to 8 years of medium-level experience providing SOC platform technical support.,
