Platform Support Engineer

Job Description

Report to the manager of Platform Support with the ability to interface with multi-disciplinary teams Provide technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to proprietary technologies, computer systems, software, and hardware Installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners Facilitate infrastructure and product-related tasks Help manage InvestClouds proprietary technologies for data management, sharing, and distribution Escalation point for production support issues Manage assigned tasks contributing to Platform level projects Maintain best practices for technical operations Participate in brainstorming and other idea-generating team sessions Work to continuously develop expertise within key areas of technical operations Requirements Experience in systems administration / DevOps Role (preferred but not required) Working knowledge of Linux (Ubuntu / Red Hat / CentOS are our preferred distributions) Experience with common scripting languages (Bash and Groovy preferred) Experience with common editors (Vim or Emacs) Experience managing and maintaining web servers (e.g. Nginx, IIS, Tomcat, Apache, Glassfish) Experience in DNS Administration (e.g. A, CNAME, MX, TXT) Experience in Active Directory Administration Experience working with SSL Certificate Enrollment Processes Experience with VMWare vSphere Comfortable with the setup and troubleshooting of both PCs and Macs Experience supporting users with varying levels of technical skills and abilities
