Platform Engineer

As part of Citi's multi-year transformation effort to simplify and modernize its legacy core banking platform, the DDA module will be migrated into a modern cloud native next generation DDA platform to provide account management and transaction processing capabilities for Citis Institutional Clients Group (ICG) business globally. Citi is seeking a Platform Engineer to build internal platforms, tools, and automation to facilitate efficient software delivery in coordination with the Technology team. Responsibilities: - Identify and define necessary system enhancements using applications development procedures, script tools, and code analysis - Consult with users, clients, and technology groups, recommend programming solutions, and support customer exposure systems - Utilize programming languages for design specifications and analyze applications for vulnerabilities and security issues - Act as an advisor or coach, make evaluative judgments, and implement solutions independently - Serve as an SME to senior stakeholders and team members, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in the Financial Service industry - Intermediate level experience in Java Applications Development - Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (OpenShift), Dockers/Kubernetes, OpenShift deployment/packaging solutions - Experience with Agile software development, CI/CD pipelines, and tools like JIRA, BlackDuck, SONAR - Ability to evaluate design trade-offs, clear communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and decision-making skills - Capability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes Education: - Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience This job description provides an overview of the responsibilities and qualifications required.
