Role & responsibilities 1. Equipment Operation: Operate and control various chemical processing equipment, including reactors, distillation columns, pumps, and compressors. Monitor equipment performance and process parameters to ensure smooth operation and troubleshoot any issues that arise. 2. Batch Processing: Execute batch processes according to production schedules and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Follow batch recipes and instructions to add raw materials, adjust process parameters, and monitor product quality. 3. Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents, incidents, and spills. Conduct routine safety inspections and participate in safety meetings and training sessions. 4. Quality Control: Perform quality checks and inspections on raw materials, intermediate products, and finished goods. Identify and address deviations from quality standards and report any non-conformities to supervisors. 5. Process Optimization: Monitor process efficiency and identify opportunities for optimization to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades. 6. Maintenance Support: Assist maintenance technicians in conducting routine maintenance tasks, equipment inspections, and repairs. Report equipment malfunctions or abnormalities to the maintenance department for prompt resolution. 7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate production records, logbooks, and batch records to document process parameters and production activities. Generate production reports and shift handover documents to communicate key information to incoming operators. Preferred candidate profile The Plant Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring equipment and processes within the chemical manufacturing plant to ensure safe and efficient production. This role plays a critical role in maintaining production schedules, quality standards, and regulatory compliance. Responsible for setting up the production equipment and supplies before executing the job orders. Operating equipment safely and effectively for production processing. Ensure that equipments are maintained in good and safe working condition. Inspect equipment to identify any replacements, malfunctions, and repairs. Perform regular equipment maintenance to ensure production capacity and quality. Work under the guidance of Supervisor to perform and complete the assigned duties in timely manner. Evaluate equipment performance and recommend improvements. Operate trucks and other industrial vehicles to transfer the production equipment between warehouse and working area. Follow safety procedures and company policies for equipment operation. Minimize waste generation. Identify and report unsafe operations to the Supervisor immediately. Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized. Log the process parameter in every half an hour. Submission of BMR within three days after completion of batch. Academic & Professional Qualifications: • Diploma in chemical OR ITI-AOCP (Mandatory)
