Eaton’s Mobility business is hiring a Plant Manager in Ranjangaon.
What You’ll Do
This position has overall responsibility for Ranjangaon Plant. The scope of this position includes plant expansion and operation, manufacturing production, EHS, Facility, Quality, CI, SCM performance & programs, Finance, HR, and aftermarket sales to achieve organizational strategic objectives and performance goals through deployment of tools and processes of Eaton Business System. It is also a key role of with local government and public/community relationship.
- Demonstrates high level of ethics and integrity, be accountable for legal compliance, government relationship, Industrial relations and public/community relationship of the plant
- Leads and implements Eaton Business System in Truck, Auto & eMobility, especially in applying the tools and processes of Eaton Business System such as strategic planning process, profit planning process, OCA, APEX, MESH, Eaton quality system, Supply Chain Management, Pro-launch, Eaton Lean Systems, Six-Sigma, and etc to deliver the business results.
- Leads Truck, Auto & eMobility products local manufacturing through Product Move and Parts Localization for continuously cost out, drive for flawless execution of localization initiatives.
- Plays the key role VOC, visits important OEM to gain the share for growth.
- Leads plant leadership team to work with Sales, Marketing, Service, Application Engineering and other functions to support sales growth and penetration.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that the operation’s equipment, facility and processes are in conformance with government and local EHS regulations.
- Coordinates and plans capital projects. Determines and justifies to senior Management improvements to the production facility and equipment.
- Work closely with the Union representatives both externally and internal to ensure a peaceful , harmonious working atmosphere in the plant.
- To enable and upgrade the plant people competency, manufacturing competency, manufacturing efficiency and thus have cost leadership for domestic and international business
- Manage budgetary and financial aspects of plant operations, including cost control and resource allocation.
- To have continuous focus and oversight on plant quality and thus keeping the Eaton quality commitments of Zero DPPM.
- To have high focus plant productivity, manpower needs, manpower efficiency and thus drive excellence in efficiency.
- To drive Manufacturing excellence within the plant and demonstrate Digital mindset including Industry 4.0 practices towards rigorous implementation of plant’s Digital Accelerator Program.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and MBA preferred
- Fluent English capability and excellent communication skills
- Min 20 years of work experience in a sizable MNC, preferably in both operations and sales.
- Min. 15 years or above of overall plant management experience
- Broad technical knowledge in the areas of manufacturing processes, quality assurance, plant engineering, production/materials planning and systems application
- Broad financial knowledge for asset management, budgeting and profit plan obtainment
Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral science, including the ability to motivate, counsel, and constructively deal with people at all levels
- Background and training in process control, quality assurance, supply chain, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing and ISO Certification.
- Should have experience working with product design teams and developing manufacturing capabilities and processes for the introduction of new products.
- Experiences of cross-business campus management is an asset
