Job Description (Points): Plant Head – Sheet Metal & Fabrication1. Role Overview

• Lead overall plant operations for sheet metal fabrication.
• Ensure safety, quality, productivity, and timely delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Production & Operations

• Plan and execute daily/weekly/monthly production schedules.
• Oversee processes: laser cutting, punching, bending, welding, forming, surface treatment, assembly.
• Ensure optimal utilisation of machines, manpower, and material.
• Monitor KPIs like OEE, cycle time, productivity, scrap, and downtime.

B. Quality Management

• Ensure compliance with ISO/IATF quality standards.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for defects.
• Maintain high first-pass yield and minimise rework.

C. Plant Maintenance

• Manage preventive and breakdown maintenance of all fabrication machines.
• Ensure high machine uptime through PM/TPM practices.
• Maintain spare parts inventory.

D. Cost & Inventory Control

• Control operational cost, consumables, and overheads.
• Reduce scrap, rework, and wastage through process optimisation.
• Manage raw material and WIP inventory.

E. Safety & Compliance

• Implement and enforce safety standards, policies, and PPE usage.
• Maintain zero-accident culture and ensure statutory compliance.
• Conduct safety audits and training.

F. People Management

• Lead and develop production, quality, and maintenance teams.
• Manage manpower planning, training, and performance evaluation.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and accountability.

G. Process Improvement & Strategy

• Implement Lean, Kaizen, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Plan capacity expansion, new machine installation, and layout optimization.
• Support new product development with feasibility studies.

3. Qualifications

• B.E./Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering (preferred).
• 12–20 years of experience in sheet metal fabrication; 5+ years in leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of fabrication processes and equipment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
