Job Title: Plant Chemist Company: Aeron Composite Limited Location: Survey No. 170 to 174, Jornang - Akhaj, Road Via, Ambaliyasan, Jornang, Gujarat 382732 Department: Production / Quality Control Reports To: Plant Manager / Head of Production About Aeron Composite Limited:Aeron Composite Limited is a leading manufacturer of high-performance composite materials, specializing in advanced FRP products, resin systems, and structural composites. With a strong focus on innovation and quality, we serve industries ranging from infrastructure and aerospace to marine and automotive. Position Overview:The Plant Chemist will be responsible for overseeing and managing the chemical processes involved in the production of composite materials. This includes formulation, quality control, testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of polymer chemistry and hands-on experience with resin systems, curing agents, and process optimization in a manufacturing setting. Key Responsibilities:Develop, modify, and optimize resin formulations used in composite products. Oversee daily chemical operations in the plant, ensuring consistency in quality and process adherence. Conduct lab analysis, material testing, and QC/QA on raw materials, in-process batches, and finished products. Troubleshoot process issues related to curing, viscosity, gel time, adhesion, etc. Maintain safety protocols for handling chemicals and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. Work closely with R&D, production, and quality departments to scale new formulations and improve existing ones. Maintain and calibrate lab equipment, ensuring accurate test results. Train plant personnel on chemical handling and process standards. Document all testing results, batch records, and formulation data in line with ISO or company quality standards. Qualifications:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 2–5 years of relevant experience in a chemical or composites manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of thermoset resins (epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester), hardeners, and fillers. Familiarity with ASTM, ISO, and other applicable testing standards. Proficiency in lab techniques and analytical instruments (FTIR, DSC, viscometers, etc.). Good communication and documentation skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Preferred Skills:Experience in FRP/GRP manufacturing or related composites industry. Understanding of REACH, RoHS, and other regulatory standards. Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification is a plus. Working Conditions: This role will require both lab and plant-floor presence. Safety equipment and PPE must be worn as per company policy. Occasional travel to supplier or customer sites may be required. Salary: Based on experience and industry standards
