Job Description

Role & responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Scheduling

  • Develop, maintain, and update detailed project schedules using tools such

    MS Project

    .
  • Define project milestones, critical paths, and dependencies to ensure timely project execution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to align project timelines.

2. Progress Monitoring & Reporting

  • Track and monitor project progress against baseline schedules and budgets.
  • Prepare and present periodic

    progress reports

    ,

    S-curves

    , and

    earned value analyses (EVA)

    to management and clients.
  • Identify delays, analyze causes, and recommend corrective actions.

3. Resource Planning & Coordination

  • Plan and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials to meet project objectives.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads to optimize resource utilization and avoid bottlenecks.
  • Support procurement scheduling to align material deliveries with construction timelines.

4. Cost Control & Budget Management

  • Assist in preparing project budgets and forecasts.
    Monitor expenditures and commitments to ensure compliance with approved budgets.
  • Support project cost tracking and variance analysis.

5. Interface Management

  • Act as a focal point between engineering, procurement, construction, and subcontractors.
  • Facilitate coordination meetings and ensure smooth communication across project stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment with client requirements and project specifications.

6. Risk Management

  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain risk registers and follow up on critical issues.

7. Documentation & Quality Control

  • Maintain updated project documentation, records, and databases.
  • Ensure adherence to

    HSE (Health, Safety & Environment)

    and

    QA/QC

    procedures during all project phases.

8. Project Close-Out & Lessons Learned

  • Support project completion activities including final documentation, handover packages, and performance review.
  • Capture and document lessons learned for continuous improvement.
