Job Description

Primary Responsibility : The Planning Manager will oversee project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure timely and cost-effective execution of construction projects. They will collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and contractors to develop and implement strategies that align with organizational goals and industry standards. Role : Key Accountabilities/Activities: 1) Project Planning and Scheduling: Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or MS Project. Define project milestones, critical paths, and deliverables. Monitor progress against the project timeline and update schedules as necessary. 2) Resource Allocation and Management: Assess and allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project demands. Coordinate with procurement and site teams to ensure timely delivery of resources. 3) Cost and Budget Management: Prepare budget estimates and monitor project costs to ensure adherence to financial goals. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or timelines. 4) Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges. 5) Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project objectives. Provide regular progress reports and updates to senior management and clients. 6) Compliance and Standards: Ensure all planning activities comply with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Review and approve project plans and schedules submitted by subcontractors. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field. Proven experience (515 years) in project planning and scheduling in the construction industry. Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, and other planning tools. Strong understanding of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices. Excellent analytical, organizational, and time-management skills. Strong communication and leadership abilities. Working Conditions: Office-based with frequent visits to project sites as per the requirement.
