Job Description

Job Title: Technical Assistant- CPSC –Test Pack Preparation Location: Vadodara Office Department: Central Piping Support Centre Reports To: Lead Engineer/ Loop Cell / CPSC Incharge Job Purpose To prepare, review, and coordinate Hydrotest and Loop Test Packs for piping systems, ensuring they are compliant with project specifications, engineering deliverables, codes, and standards for successful pressure testing and mechanical completion. Key Responsibilities Prepare and compile Hydrotest and Loop Test Packs based on isometric drawings, P&IDs, line lists, and project specifications. Identify piping systems, Sub systems and define test boundaries considering design requirements, site installation status, and test feasibility. Coordinate with engineering, construction, quality, and commissioning teams for inputs and approvals. Incorporate all necessary documentation in test packs, including: Isometric drawings P&IDs Line list Weld maps NDT reports Material certificates Calibration certificates, etc Provide daily/weekly updates on Test Pack preparation progress. Assist in resolving technical queries related to hydrotesting and piping systems. Other activities at CPSC Qualifications HSC or equivalent. 10+ years of relevant experience in piping construction project site, fabrication, erection, hydrotesting, and test pack preparation. Familiar with international codes and standards (ASME B31.3, B31.1, API, etc.). Strong understanding of piping systems, piping components, and material specifications. Proficient in reading and interpreting P&IDs, Isometrics, and Line Lists. Hands-on experience with piping test pack tracking tools (e.g., eALPS) is an advantage. Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills. Preferred Skills Experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Power plant projects. Knowledge of mechanical completion activities.
