The Plant Head is responsible for strict monitoring of targeted production as per business plan for plant, maintaining budgeted RMC, waste generation and various environmental norms. Strategic Responsibilities Plan optimum use of available production facilities/circuits to ensure on time delivery of products Ensure effective utilization of manpower, utility, raw materials etc. Report to Head Production (site) on the status of Legal Compliance and apprise him of its implication on business Operational Responsibilities Ensure fulfilment of market/customer requirement by producing right quality of material as per business plan Ensure proper upkeep of- Plant machineries and effective running of environmental measures Pipe rack and pipeline in the vicinity of the plant so that there is proper flow of chemicals Drive measures required for maintaining various ISO-systems are in place as per schedule Monitor consistency in mass balance to deliver right yield and waste generation Provide assistance to Deputy Plant head for maintenance safe and efficient operations with respect to- Unit operation of distillation, Filtration (ANF & CF), drying (RVD & Rotocone), screening, pulverizing, absorption and scrubbing Properties, hazards and control measures associated with hazardous substances in the plan Process safety and quality of respective products Impart proper knowledge about processes and hazards of unit process like chlorination, aminolysis, sulfonation, hydrogenation, catalytic reactions etc. to the team Manage and upkeep of Tank farm area Monitor the loading and unloading process for all the material related to plant Ensure proper recording and analysis of incident / accident / first-aid / near misses to minimize risk at shop floor Financial Responsibilities Manage the productivity by ensuring batch time cycle within the targeted time Manage the RMC and waste generation as per budget Minimize off-spec generation and extra samples Optimize overtime generation by proper leave/shift planning Develop KPIs to measure the performance of Shift executives at Plant to ensure high productivity Ensure achievement of cost saving initiatives to achieve targeted savings in time frame People Responsibilities Ensure safety & high productivity at the workplace Facilitate initiatives for training need identification and building requisite skills & competencies through systematic training & skill-upgradation initiatives for the team Actively drive, in conjunction with the Senior Management Team, the performance management process of the team Recognize & reward excellent performers & affirm key contributions of employees toward the achievement of goals & objectives of the team Inspire & motivate employees through demonstrated commitment to PI s values, vision & mission and active participation in various team engagement activities Education Qualification B.E/B.Tech in Chemical Engineering Work Experience 10-15 years of supervisory experience preferably in a Chemicals Manufacturing Plant Industry to be Hired from Agro-Pharma-Fine-Chemicals Functional Competencies Ability to take responsibility to run chemical plant independently Ability to understand and solve the various kinds of production related problem Experience in managing Production at Chemical Plants Strong technical knowledge to provide guidance to team members/juniors
