Physiotherapist

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, and implementing physiotherapy interventions to improve the physical well-being of patients across various settings, including inpatient, outpatient, and home health environments. This role requires a strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, as well as the ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Duties

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical condition and needs.
• Develop and implement personalized physiotherapy treatment plans based on patient evaluations.
• Provide hands-on treatment including trigger point therapy, manual therapy, and exercise prescription.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive patient care and discharge planning.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment options, exercises, and self-management strategies.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EMR systems to track progress and outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary to achieve optimal results.
• Work with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, and individuals with orthopedic conditions.
• Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and maintain a safe treatment environment.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to physiotherapy practice.
• Proficient in discharge planning processes for effective patient transitions.
• Experience in acute care settings as well as outpatient clinics is preferred.
• Familiarity with home & community care practices is advantageous.
• Ability to provide compassionate patient care while demonstrating excellent communication skills.
• Experience with EMR systems for documentation and record keeping.
• Knowledge of various therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation.
