PHP Developer

JOB DESCRIPTION –

PHP Developer Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled PHP Developer with strong expertise in server-side programming and web application development. The ideal candidate should be able to design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, and high performance PHP-based applications while collaborating with cross functional teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain PHP-based web applications.

• Write clean, efficient, and reusable PHP code following industry best practices.

• Design and manage relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) and optimize queries.

• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and third-party services.

• Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing applications.

• Ensure performance, scalability, and security of web applications.

• Participate in code reviews, version control, and continuous integration processes.

• Document technical specifications, workflows, and coding standards.

• Stay updated with emerging technologies and frameworks in PHP development.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Strong proficiency in PHP (7.x/8.x) and object-oriented programming.

• Good understanding of MVC frameworks (Laravel, CodeIgniter, Symfony, or similar).

• Experience with MySQL/PostgreSQL and database schema design.

• Knowledge of front-end technologies (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery).

• Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and XML.

• Hands-on experience with Git or other version control systems.

• Understanding of security best practices in web applications.

• Basic knowledge of Linux environments for deployment and server management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.

• Experience in modern PHP frameworks (Laravel/Symfony preferred).

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for application hosting.

• Knowledge of DevOps tools (Docker, Jenkins, CI/CD pipelines).

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in collaborative teams.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
