Job Description

Patient Identification and Preparation: o Verify patient identity using appropriate documentation. o Explain the blood collection procedure to patients to alleviate anxiety. o Prepare and sanitize the collection area and necessary equipment. Blood Collection: o Perform venipuncture or capillary puncture to collect blood samples. o Ensure optimal quality and quantity of samples for testing. Sample Handling and Documentation: o Label samples accurately and ensure proper storage or transportation to laboratories. o Maintain detailed records of patient information, sample details, and procedures performed.
