OUR VALUES IN ACTION Care and Compassion Quality and Teamwork Dignity and Respect Openness, honesty and responsibility This is an exciting opportunity to join the pharmacy procurement team in providing accurate and timely distribution of pharmaceuticals across NHS Borders. PSWs assist with the ordering, receipt, storage and issue of pharmaceutical products in line with departmental procedures. Duties include receipt of medications coming into pharmacy from our suppliers, timely and efficient storage of these medicines and stock management including stock checks, expiry checks, ward top-up services and general support within the pharmacy department. This is a fairly physical role where daily lifting, carrying and bending is a requirement of the post. Applicants must have Standard grade level 3, Nat 4 (or equivalent) in English, Mathematics/Arithmetic and have a commitment to achieving S/NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services or recognised equivalent qualification, or units appropriate for the job role. Applicants should be able to cope in a busy physical environment, have good interpersonal, organisational and competent communication and keyboard skills.
