About the Client:

A strategic data and technology partner focused on delivering high-impact commercial analytics and solutions for the life sciences sector.

Location: Chennai/Hyderabad/Pune/Delhi NCR/Bangalore (work from office)

The Role

Pharma Commercial Analytics Lead

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary

    Subject Matter Expert

    on pharma commercial data and analytics.
  • Lead the design and end-to-end delivery

    of advanced analytics projects, ensuring technical accuracy and quality of deliverables.
  • Translate complex analytical findings into compelling, easy-to-understand

    strategic recommendations

    for senior business stakeholders (Brand Directors, Sales VPs).
  • Manage and deliver solutions across core commercial areas, including

    Omnichannel Effectiveness

    (ROI modeling),

    Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE)

    (territory alignment, incentive compensation),

    Brand Strategy

    (launch tracking), and

    Market Access

    (pricing/contracting analysis).
  • Provide

    mentorship and coaching

    to junior analysts on best practices and domain knowledge.
  • Support business development by participating in pre-sales conversations and preparing materials that showcase our analytics capabilities.
  • Work closely with project managers and data engineering teams to manage project scopes, timelines, and resource allocation.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience:

    10+ years of focused experience in Commercial Analytics within the Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry (client-side or consulting/technology firm).
  • Data Expertise :

    Deep, hands-on working knowledge of core pharma commercial datasets

    .

  • Technical Proficiency:

    Strong hands-on skills in data manipulation and analysis (

    SQL, Python/R

    ) and proficiency with data visualization tools (

    Tableau, Power BI

    ).
  • Project Leadership:

    Proven ability to lead the end-to-end delivery of analytics projects and manage internal and external stakeholder expectations.
  • Communication:

    Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts and strategic insights to non-technical business leaders.
  • Mindset:

    Proactive, detail-oriented, and possessing a strong consulting approach focused on delivering measurable business value.
  • Education:

    Bachelors degree in a relevant field (Life Sciences, Business, Statistics, Engineering); a Masters degree is a strong plus.
