1. Role Overview

MD School, Gurugram (CBSE) is inviting applications for the position of PGT Physics for teaching Classes with a dual focus on:
CBSE Board Preparation
Competitive Exam Coaching (JEE Main/Advanced, NEET, CUET, Olympiads)

This is a full-time, onsite position based at the MD School campus in Gurugram. Remote work is not permitted.

Candidates with strong academic backgrounds from IISER, NIT, IIT, IISC, or other top institutions will be given preference.

2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Academic Delivery (CBSE Boards)

  • Teach Physics to Classes as per CBSE curriculum and guidelines.
  • Ensure syllabus completion, revision cycles, and rigorous Board exam preparation.
  • Conduct pre-boards, mock tests, sample paper sessions, and answer-writing training aligned with CBSE patterns.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of CBSE circulars, marking schemes, and curriculum updates.

B. Competitive Exam Preparation (JEE/NEET/CUET/Olympiads)

  • Deliver advanced-level Physics coaching with strong emphasis on concept clarity and problem-solving.
  • Prepare chapter-wise MCQs, numerical problems, assertion-reason questions, and case-based questions.
  • Conduct regular competitive test series with detailed performance analysis.
  • Mentor high-performing students and create enrichment programs for JEE/NEET/Olympiad aspirants.

C. Student Mentorship & Support

  • Identify weak learners and conduct remedial classes and doubt-clearing sessions.
  • Guide students on careers in Engineering, Medical, and Pure Sciences.
  • Build scientific curiosity through projects, lab activities, and STEM/STEAM initiatives.

D. Classroom & School Responsibilities

  • Maintain a disciplined, engaging, and positive learning environment.
  • Support school events such as science fairs, exhibitions, olympiads, and STEAM activities.
  • Participate actively in PTMs, departmental meetings, academic planning, and school cultural programs.

E. Documentation & Coordination

  • Maintain lesson plans, continuous assessments, worksheets, and student progress records.
  • Work closely with subject coordinators and the school’s competitive exam cell.

3. Required Qualifications

  • Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc) in Physics from a recognised university.
  • B.Ed qualification mandatory as per CBSE norms.
  • 3–5+ years experience teaching Classes XI–XII Physics in a CBSE school.

4. Preferred Qualifications (Highly Desirable)

Candidates from the following institutions will receive priority:

  • IISER (Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research)
  • IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology)
  • NIT (National Institutes of Technology)
  • IISC (Indian Institute of Science)
  • Other reputed central universities or research institutions

Experience in:

  • JEE/NEET coaching institutes
  • Olympiad/competitive exam preparation
  • is considered an added advantage.

5. Skills & Competencies

  • Strong conceptual and numerical command over Physics.
  • Ability to teach both Board-level and JEE/NEET-level content.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Comfort with smart classes, simulations, and digital teaching tools.
  • Student-centric, patient, and result-oriented teaching style.
