Key Responsibilities: Lesson Planning & Delivery: Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards, including creating engaging activities, projects, and assignments. Instruction: Teach students about various historical periods, events, and figures, fostering an understanding of historical context and analysis. Assessment: Evaluate student progress through various methods, including exams, projects, assignments, and class participation. Student Support: Provide individualized support to students who need additional help and maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance. Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop interdisciplinary plans and participate in school events and meetings. Communication: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student progress and address any concerns. Professional Development: Stay updated with current educational trends and historical scholarship, seeking professional development opportunities. Skills & Qualifications: Subject Matter Expertise: A strong understanding of history and the ability to effectively teach it to students. Teaching Skills: Effective communication, classroom management, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Pedagogy: Knowledge of various teaching methods and strategies to cater to diverse learning needs. Technology Proficiency: Ability to incorporate technology and multimedia resources into lessons. Assessment Skills: Expertise in assessing student learning and providing feedback. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with students, parents, and colleagues. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport with students and create a positive classroom environment.
