Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:
*Understand and analyze requirements/specifications/acceptance criteria to design effective test scenarios*Design comprehensive test cases based on the test scenarios identified*Execute functional test cases to validate the functionalities; identify, document, and report defects in appropriate tracking tools*Perform regression/load/performance testing to ensure changes to the applications do not adversely affect existing functionalities*Maintain detailed documentation of test cases, test results, defect reports and relevant testing metrics*Collaborate with test leads, development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to resolve issues *Build and maintain test automation frameworks/test scripts to facilitate automated testing*Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous testing

Skill sets

* Proven experience in performance testing web applications, APIs, and backend systems.
*Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or k6.*Experience with monitoring tools such as PerfMon, nmon, Datadog, or New Relic.*Ability to analyze performance test results and identify bottlenecks.*Proficient in scripting languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Groovy.*Experience with cloud-based performance testing*Experience with test automation frameworks like TestNG, JUnit (for Java), NUnit (for C#), or PyTest/UnitTest (for Python).*Understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to effectively work with web-based applications.*Familiarity with version control systems like Git for code management.*Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or GitLab CI to integrate automated tests into the development pipeline.*Familiarity with tools like Azure DevOps, JIRA etc. for defect tracking.*Understanding of RESTful services and experience with tools like Postman or RestAssured for API testing.*Basic SQL knowledge to perform database validations and queries for data verification*Experience in cross-browser testing and understanding of browser compatibility issues*Exposure to Agile methodology
