Performance Engineer

PT/PE related Tools Jmeter, Dynatrace, splunk, PCF  

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (L7) with Performance Engineering background. We are looking for someone with hands on experience in Performance engineering and who can do Performance tuning and detailed analysis for system bottlenecks and suggest alternatives. And though this role is not tester or developer it's expected that candidate should have JAVA, Spring boot knowledge and understanding of its concepts. 

This position is in Pune, and we would prefer if we can have someone in same location over remote.

About the Role

You are expected to perform following general responsibilities:

• Drive end to end Performance of distributed, cloud native enterprise software.
• Need to support services before they go live through activities such as system design consulting, performance engineering, chaos testing, indepth code review/refactoring, capacity planning and launch reviews.
• Designing Performance test scenarios, preparing test scripts & carrying out test execution using performance testing tools.
• Scale and evolve systems sustainably by pushing for changes that improve reliability, velocity and recommend performance tuning enhancements.
• Review production incidents, outages to identify bottlenecks and drive solutions to prevent reoccurrence.
• Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Look at all tasks with an eye for automation; then work to automate them.
• Build, manage, and maintain robust dashboards reflecting system health.
• Apply expert technical capabilities across discipline(s) to troubleshoot and solve problems.
• Bring a fresh and new perspective to address existing problems.
• Maintain and present project related metrics reporting for management review
• Manage builds and artifacts using standard CI/CD pipeline
• Handle coordination between teams based in various locations
• Apply expert technical capabilities across discipline(s) to troubleshoot and solve problems.

All About You

• Extensive experience as a Performance Engineering in Cloud Application using Agile methodology
• Hands-on experience with designing Performance test scenarios, preparing test scripts & carrying out test execution using performance testing tools.
• Knowledge of profiling tools and their usage for identification of bottlenecks in CPU, Memory, Network, etc.
• Practical experience in performing simulation or lab experimentation to analyze product’s performance.
• Experience in T3, Jmeter, Java Micro Benchmark Harness (JMH), Micro Services, Kafka, NATS or Equivalent messaging service, docker/container-based technologies.
• Must possess strong Technical Skills in Java, Spring Boot Framework, Cloud - Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) and AWS, Digital Native Architecture experience
• Core understanding of Messaging Systems, Database both RDBMS and NoSQL is must.
• Experience in Online / Real time scalable solutions
• Clarity on how to collect application/system metrics, observability, and monitoring.
• Result oriented individual with Automation experience and Code Quality
• Excellent Communicator with Quick grasping and learning abilities and Technical mentoring skills
• Some hands-on experience in Development of Java, Spring boot based Microservices, Event Driver Architecture.
