Role & responsibilities We are looking for a highly skilled QA Automation Tester for a contract-to-hire role based in (work from office) Chennai. The selected candidate will initially join as a contractor for the first 6 months and, based on performance, will be converted to a full-time employee . The role requires an immediate joiner with strong automation and system integration testing experience. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for web and API testing Perform system integration testing and ensure end-to-end data validation Validate data flow across integrated systems (APIs, databases, microservices) Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to maintain high-quality releases Manage and prepare test data for automation and integration testing Integrate automation suites with CI/CD pipelines Preferred candidate profile 6+ years of hands-on experience in QA Automation Strong proficiency in Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript Expertise in: Selenium WebDriver Playwright API Test Automation (REST Assured, Postman, Axios, etc.) SQL and database testing Test data management and transformation Strong experience in System Integration Testing Hands-on experience with automation frameworks (Playwright Test, Pytest, TestNG, JUnit, NUnit) Good understanding of automation design patterns (Page Object Model, etc.) Proficient in Git version control Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Supply Chain domain experience Microservices architecture and distributed system testing Data masking / synthetic data generation experience Knowledge of Kafka, RabbitMQ Performance testing exposure (JMeter, k6, Gatling)
