Job Description Position: Senior Accountant Location: Pune, Maharashtra Department: Accounts & Finance Job Type: Full-time Pay Range: As per market standards Summary: PDC Buildcon is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our Accounts & Finance Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations, and supporting the organization’s overall financial integrity. This is a key role in maintaining transparency and accuracy in our financial operations. Key Responsibilities: Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of all financial information. Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts. General Accounting: Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable. Manage payroll processes and ensure compliance with statutory payroll laws. Compliance and Audit: Ensure adherence to accounting policies and statutory regulations. Support internal and external audits. Prepare and file tax returns on time. Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to aid strategic business decisions. Analyze data to identify financial trends and discrepancies. Provide insights and recommendations to management. Systems and Processes: Implement and manage accounting software and systems. Enhance accounting processes and internal controls. Maintain proper documentation and financial records. Other Duties: Support cross-functional projects and initiatives as required. Collaborate with departments to achieve business goals. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulations. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred. Experience: Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, ideally in the construction industry. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally, QuickBooks, and MS Office Suite (especially Excel). Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Skills: Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills. Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work independently and collaboratively. High standards of ethics and professionalism.
