Payroll Specialist

Role & responsibilities

• Should have strong experience in handling payroll processes and statutory compliances, including compensation management.
  
• Sound knowledge of Income Tax declaration and Income Tax computation.
  
• Good understanding of various allowances and perks.
  
• Must be updated with recent amendments and changes in the Income Tax Act.
  
• Work with company database and HRMS systems to accurately process payroll.
  
• Report daily activities, updates, and issues to the Head/Manager.
  
• Design CTC structures in accordance with labour laws and maintain statutory records.
  
• Ensure timely preparation of registers such as Salary, Full & Final Settlement, Gratuity, TDS, PF, and ESI, and coordinate with Accounts for payments within due timelines.
  
• Ensure all supporting documents related to Full & Final (F&F) settlements are received and verified.
  
• Handle timely and accurate filing of ETDS, Form 16, and other statutory returns.
  
• Resolve payroll-related queries raised by employees.
  
• Coordinate with the Accounting department for all payroll-related transactions.
  
• Collect, verify, and maintain accurate bank details of employees.
  
• Ensure all payroll activity reports and financial statements required for audits are maintained and readily available.

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel.
  
• Strong knowledge of statutory compliances.
  
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  
• Thorough understanding of payroll practices and processes.
  
• Strong accounting skills with the ability to interpret financial data.
  
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
