Scope of Work (SOW) for Payroll &Compliance Freelancer - 1. Introduction This document outlines the scope of work fora Payroll & Compliance Freelancer responsible for managing payrollprocesses, ensuring statutory compliance, and providing related supportservices. 2. Objectives The primary objective is to ensure timelyand accurate payroll processing while maintaining compliance with all relevantlabor laws, tax regulations, and statutory obligations. 3. Scope of Work The freelancer will be responsible for thefollowing tasks: Payroll &Statutory Compliance Management: Process payroll, including salary calculations, deductions & fulland final settlements for exiting employees. Ensure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and employeebenefits. Calculate and process Provident Fund (PF), Employee State Insurance(ESI) and Income Tax (TDS) deductions. Manage statutory filings and submissions to regulatory authorities. Assist with employee benefits processing, including health insurance andgratuity. Provide guidance on statutory benefits and policy updates. Keep the organization informed of any regulatory changes affectingpayroll and compliance. Assist in drafting and implementing payroll policies and complianceguidelines. Prepare required reports for management review. 4. Timeline Payroll processing: Monthly basis. Statutory filings: As per regulatory timelines. Reports and advisory: As required. 5. Payment Terms: Payment will be made on a mutually agreed basis (monthly). The freelancer shall submit an invoice along with a report of completedtasks. 6.Confidentiality & Data Protection The freelancer must ensure confidentiality of payroll data and employeeinformation. Compliance with data protection regulations must be maintained at alltimes. 7. Approval &Agreement This Scope ofWork is agreed upon by both parties and serves as a reference for projectexecution.
