Partnerships associate

We are seeking a dedicated and honest, preferably a woman professional for the position of Partnerships Associate for our SwaNari Project, which works to address period poverty and empower women in underserved rural communities in Supaul. The role involves an intense on-ground work as part of ZealGrit’s operations with rural women to connect their products to the market. So this position involves bridging rural and urban, on-ground skills with managerial acumen. 

During an ordinary day in this role, you will be visiting the field to interact with communities, writing detailed fieldnotes based on your interactions, researching market opportunities, strategising for project growth, gathering field insights, supervising the production of menstrual pads, and strengthening connections with beneficiaries and stakeholders. Of course, you won’t be alone doing all this– our team of associates will support community mobilisation and contribute to expanding the project model through effective planning and on-ground execution.

Responsibilities

• Draft and implement strategies to execute, strengthen, and expand the SwaNari Project.
• Conduct training sessions and workshops with beneficiaries and other community members to build awareness and strengthen our field presence.
• Carry out market research to improve the project’s model, sales channels, and growth strategies.
• Oversee monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of project activities, ensuring timely data collection, entry, and analysis on products produced, marketed, and sold.
• Develop and support initiatives to increase product sales and market reach, including identifying new buyers, partnerships, and innovative sales strategies.
• Work closely with local health workers to support health promotion, menstrual hygiene awareness, and community mobilisation efforts.
• Document field activities, observations, and actionable insights, and prepare periodic updates for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Identify and respond to evolving community and market needs to ensure continuous programme improvement and sustainability.

What we are looking for

• Master’s degree in Economics, Business Administration (Marketing/Social Entrepreneurship), Rural Development, Public Health, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or other related fields.
• Candidates with relevant experience, preferably in marketing, community development, or public health. Freshers are encouraged to apply.
• Strong communication skills, with fluency in both written and spoken Hindi and English.
• Attention to detail, ensuring accurate data collection, documentation, and reporting.
• Passion for community work and interest in facilitating group sessions and health awareness activities.
• Ability to engage effectively with diverse community groups and local stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn, adaptable, and self-motivated, with a commitment to working on-site in Bihar and travelling within rural areas as required.
