Essential Responsibilities Include

Supporting one appointed child at a time, using specific strategies (pedagogical, behavioral, etc.) to help him/her process group (small or large) instruction and stay on task and achieve successTo pull-out and conduct 1:1 academic sessions with the child, as per IEP needsCommunicating and consulting with parents, in consultation with the homeroom teamDeveloping, in consultation with the homeroom team, specific strategies (pedagogical, behavioral) that would help the child function independently in his school activitiesPeriodic reviews done in consultation with the homeroom team and parents, to ensure that the child is on a track to move towards receiving instruction in group settings and working independently in group settingsAttending meetings and workshops, as requiredAttending parent-teacher conferences, as requested by homeroom team

Supporting The Homeroom Team With

Designing and setting up of classroom space – teaching materials, furniture arrangements, and overall learning environment – as conducive to the student’s needsDesigning the student’s IEPMonitoring student progressCommunicating and consulting with the parents of the student being shadowed, if/when requiredProactively communicating with parents, and responding to their queries promptly (as per internal homeroom communication protocols)Participating in arrangements for further training and professional developmentIn addition to the above, performing all those functions that might be necessary in order to ensure that the school’s services are of the nature and quality that will help fulfill its founding visionCollaborating with therapists and other members of the child’s team as requiredOrganizing and/or helping the school organize various functions including but not limited to annual events by teaching the students different activities.Apply NowParaprofessional (1:1 Support Teacher)Name*Phone No*Email*Upload Resume*Δ
