Role Overview We are seeking a Senior QA Engineer to join our growing team and ensure the reliability, performance, and stability of our autonomous drone and command-and-control systems. You will lead QA efforts, design test strategies, and work closely with our software, hardware, and operations teams to deliver high-quality, mission-critical systems. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test strategies (manual and automated) for Paladin’s drone platforms and backend services. Lead the QA process across releases – including test planning, execution, and reporting. Own end-to-end testing of mobile apps, web apps, APIs, and embedded systems. Build and scale automated test frameworks and CI pipelines for regression and integration testing. Identify and log bugs in a clear and reproducible manner; work closely with developers to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Drive quality improvements throughout the SDLC by influencing testability in architecture and design decisions. Ensure compliance with industry safety and reliability standards applicable to autonomous systems. Mentor junior QA engineers and establish QA best practices. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in software QA with at least 2+ years in a senior or lead role. Proven experience in testing embedded systems, robotics, IoT, or autonomous platforms. Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. Experience with test automation tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Appium, or custom Python-based frameworks. Experience in scripting languages like Python or JavaScript. Experience testing REST APIs using tools like Postman, Swagger, or automated suites. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI). Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, agile startup environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with drone platforms, flight software, or robotics. Exposure to cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP). Understanding of networking protocols and video streaming technologies. ISTQB or similar certification. Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
