Key Responsibilities : Staff Management : Recruit, train, and supervise operation theatre staff, including nurses, technicians, and support staff. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to ensure optimal performance. Scheduling : Develop and maintain the OT schedule to ensure adequate coverage for surgical procedures. Coordinate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other stakeholders to schedule surgeries efficiently. Inventory Management : Oversee the procurement and management of operation theatre supplies, equipment, and medications. Monitor inventory levels and ensure timely replenishment to prevent stockouts. Quality Assurance : Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines, including those set by governing bodies and accrediting agencies. Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and surgical outcomes. Equipment Maintenance : Coordinate preventive maintenance and repairs for operation theatre equipment to ensure optimal functionality. Maintain documentation related to equipment maintenance and servicing. Patient Care : Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care in the operation theatre. Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner. Emergency Preparedness : Develop and implement protocols for managing emergency situations in the operation theatre. Conduct regular drills and training sessions to prepare staff for emergency scenarios.
