Full job description A Sales Executive in Jewellery is responsible for driving sales, managing customer relationships, and promoting jewelry products to meet sales targets. They play a key role in showcasing the brand’s collections, providing personalized services, and creating a positive shopping experience for customers. Key Responsibilities: Sales and Customer Service: Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. Understand customer preferences and recommend jewelry based on their needs and style. Drive sales by promoting new collections, seasonal offers, and exclusive products. Upsell or cross-sell products to maximize sales opportunities. Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets. Product Knowledge: Maintain a thorough knowledge of the product range, including the features, benefits, and craftsmanship of jewelry pieces. Stay updated on trends in the jewelry industry and be able to advise customers on the latest styles. Provide information on the materials used, such as gold, silver, diamonds, and gemstones, as well as care instructions for jewelry. Customer Relationship Management: Build long-term relationships with customers by offering personalized services and follow-up. Address customer queries, concerns, and complaints in a polite and professional manner. Provide after-sales support, including ensuring customers are satisfied with their purchases and handling returns or exchanges when necessary. Sales Transactions: Process sales transactions accurately, including cash, card, and financing options. Ensure all necessary documentation is completed for sales, including receipts, invoices, and warranties. Manage customer orders, including special orders for custom jewelry. Store Presentation: Assist with store displays and ensure that the jewelry is presented attractively. Ensure the store is clean, organized, and visually appealing to customers. Follow the company’s merchandising guidelines to create engaging product displays. Market Research and Competitor Analysis: Monitor competitors’ offerings and market trends to provide feedback to the management team. Stay informed about the local market and customer preferences, adjusting sales tactics accordingly. Inventory Management: Assist in tracking inventory levels and ensure that popular pieces are always in stock. Help with stock replenishment and ensure that jewelry is correctly labeled and priced. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other sales staff and management to achieve store goals. Attend sales meetings and training sessions to continuously improve product knowledge and sales skills. Skills Required: Excellent Communication Skills in Malayalam: Ability to engage customers and explain product features clearly. Persuasion Skills: Ability to close sales and upsell products in a friendly, non-pushy manner. Customer-Oriented: Ability to understand customer needs and provide a personalized experience. Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and highlight the finer details of jewelry, ensuring customers are fully informed. Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer complaints or issues in a professional manner. Presentation Skills: Well-groomed and able to represent the brand with a professional image. Sales Techniques: Strong understanding of sales principles and techniques, including handling objections and closing deals. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in business, marketing, or a related field is a plus. Previous sales experience in retail, ideally in luxury goods or jewelry, is highly preferred. Basic knowledge of jewelry types, precious metals, and gemstones is an advantage. Familiarity with POS systems and sales software. Work Environment: Primarily in-store, though occasional outdoor events or exhibitions may be required. May require weekend or holiday shifts, depending on the store's operating hours.
