Project Accounting

1. Project Foundation

• Configured project structures, templates, and role-based security.
• Defined project types, key flexfields, and classifications.
• Established project status controls and workflow approvals.

2. Project Costing

• Implemented cost collection from multiple sources including Oracle Payables, Payroll, and Inventory.
• Configured expenditure types, categories, cost rates, and burdening rules.
• Developed cost allocation methods and integrated cost accounting with General Ledger.

3. Project Billing

• Set up customer billing setups including billing extensions and invoicing formats.
• Supported time & materials, milestone, and event-based billing.
• Integrated with Accounts Receivable for automated invoice generation and revenue recognition.

4. Project Intercompany

• Configured intercompany billing across different operating units and legal entities.
• Implemented cross-charge processing and ensured proper accounting flow between provider and receiver organizations.
• Supported SLA configurations and reconciliations for intercompany transactions.

5. Project to Assets Integration

• Enabled CIP tracking and automated asset capitalization.
• Mapped project assets to Oracle Assets and configured asset categories.
• Facilitated integration with FA for asset creation, depreciation, and retirement processes.
