Key Responsibilities: Oracle EBS Administration Install, configure, and manage Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS R12.1.x / R12.2.x). Perform patching, cloning, and upgrades of Oracle EBS applications and database components. Manage and troubleshoot EBS concurrent processing, workflows, and application-tier components. Perform EBS user management, role administration, and security configurations. Monitor and optimize EBS performance by tuning concurrent requests, database parameters, and JVM settings. Oracle Database Administration: Administer Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c in support of the Oracle EBS environment. Implement backup and recovery strategies using RMAN, Data Guard, and Flashback. Ensure database high availability with techniques such as RAC, ASM, and Data Guard. Perform performance tuning of SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations. Manage storage, tablespaces, partitions, and database growth planning. Patching, Upgrades, & Cloning: Apply EBS patches using ADOP (Online Patching) for R12.2 environments. Perform database and application upgrades, patches, and migrations. Handle EBS cloning for development, testing, and training environments. Security & Compliance: Implement best practices for Oracle EBS security, user management, and role-based access control (RBAC). Ensure compliance with SOX, GDPR, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. Regularly apply security patches. Troubleshooting & Support: Diagnose and resolve Oracle EBS application, database, and performance-related issues. Provide technical support to developers, business analysts, and end-users. Work with Oracle Support (SRs) to troubleshoot critical system issues. Automation & Monitoring: Automate administrative tasks using PL/SQL, Shell Scripting, or Python. Implement and maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) for proactive monitoring. Set up alert mechanisms to track system health, performance, and security anomalies. Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as an Oracle EBS DBA in a production environment. Expertise in Oracle EBS R12.1.x / R12.2.x administration, patching, and cloning. Strong knowledge of Oracle Database 11g/12c/19c administration, performance tuning, and backup/recovery. Experience with RAC, ASM, Data Guard, WebLogic, and Oracle Fusion Middleware. Familiarity with EBS security models, user roles, and responsibilities. Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or Oracle EBS R12 certification. Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and EBS on Cloud. Familiarity with third-party tools like Autoconfig, Cloning, and Workflow Mailer. Knowledge of Oracle EBS integration with third-party applications.
