Oracle Database Administrator

Job Description

Job Responsibilities:  Installation of RDBMS software and creation of Oracle databases on windows/Linux platform  Good knowledge of exp-imp, data pump utility.  Maintaining physical and logical backups via user managed & RMAN backup recoveries.  Checking Alert Log files for Internal Database Activity, DB related error  Applying Different Types of Patches on quarterly For Fixing the bugs and Security issues.  Creating users, allocation to appropriate table space, as with necessary privileges and roles for all databases.  Upgrade oracle database using DBCA/exp-imp utility.  Database performance tuning and configuring stats pack report.  Develop processes for optimizing database security.  Set and maintain database standards.  Manage database access.  Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.  Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.  Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.  Create automation for repeating database tasks.  Be available for on-call support as needed. Database Administrator Qualifications/Skills:  Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools  Advanced knowledge of Oracle database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards  Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling  PowerShell and Unix shell scripting skills  Familiarity with SSAS, SSIS, SSRS  Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge  Excellent written and verbal communication skills  Impeccable attention to detail Education and Experience Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field  Three years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field  Experience with Linux, Windows Server, Virtualization, and Hyperconverged environments  Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle or MongoDB)  Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus  Transparent communication and the ability to work with a diverse team and customers at all levels  The want to continually learn and expand knowledge/skills and will to share with the rest of the team Show more Show less
