Key Responsibilities • Database Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Oracle databases (Oracle 12c/18c/19c). • Backup & Recovery: Manage Oracle RMAN backups, implement disaster recovery procedures, and ensure data availability. • Performance Tuning: Monitor and tune database performance, query optimization, and resource usage. • Security: Implement database security policies, including user management, privilege control, and data encryption. • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve database-related issues, including database crashes, performance bottlenecks, and locking issues. • Patch Management: Apply patches and upgrades to Oracle database versions, as well as Oracle Grid Infrastructure. • Replication & Clustering: Configure and manage Oracle Data Guard, Oracle RAC (Real Application Clusters), and other replication technologies . • Capacity Planning: Monitor database space usage and growth and perform capacity planning. • Automation: Develop and automate DBA scripts for routine tasks using shell scripting, SQL, or PL/SQL. • Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation on database configurations, standard operating procedures, and system architecture. • Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to design database schema, implement best practices, and troubleshoot issues in a collaborative environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time Technical/Functional Proficiency Required 1. Oracle Database Versions: Strong knowledge of Oracle 12c/18c/19c. 2. OS: Good knowledge of OS like Linux, Windows etc. 3. Backup & Recovery Tools: Expertise in RMAN, Oracle Data Guard, and Flashback technologies. 4. Performance Tuning: Experience with database performance optimization and query tuning. 5. DB Migrate & upgrade: Good knowledge of Oracle databases upgradation & migration 6. Security: Knowledge of database security practices, including encryption, user management, and auditing. 7. Cluster Technologies: Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, and Oracle Grid Infrastructure. 8. Scripting: Proficiency in shell scripting, SQL, and PL/SQL. 9. Tools: Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) or similar monitoring tools. 10. Database Monitoring: Expertise in database monitoring and alerting tools to ensure optimal database health. 11. Communication Skills: Excellent problem-solving and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
