Key Responsibilities

• Performance Analytics (Individual Contributor Phase):

• Analyze solar PV plant performance data, including energy production, system efficiency, fault detection, and degradation trends, using advanced statistical and machine learning techniques.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and predictive models to identify performance bottlenecks, optimize O&M strategies, and forecast energy yields.
• Conduct root cause analysis for underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions to improve uptime and ROI.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., field operations, engineering, and asset management) to integrate performance insights into daily operations.

• Team Leadership (Growth Phase):

• Build, mentor, and lead a team of performance analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data-driven decision-making.
• Delegate tasks, set performance goals, and provide training on analytics tools and best practices in solar O&M.
• Oversee team deliverables, ensuring high-quality analysis and timely reporting to stakeholders.

• CMS Implementation and Management:

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of the Central Monitoring System (CMS), including system configuration, integration with existing SCADA/monitoring platforms, and customization to meet solar O&M needs.
• Drive CMS adoption by developing user training programs, creating documentation, and promoting best practices for data consumption and utilization.
• Monitor CMS performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement enhancements to ensure seamless real-time data flow, alerting, and reporting.
• Collaborate with IT and vendors to maintain system security, scalability, and compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC 61724 for solar performance monitoring).

• General Duties:

• Stay abreast of industry trends in solar analytics, renewable energy technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Support business development by providing performance insights for proposals and client presentations.
• Ensure data integrity, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Renewable Energy preferred), Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in performance analytics, preferably in the solar or renewable energy sector.
• Proven track record in data analysis tools (e.g., Python, R, SQL, Tableau, Power BI) and familiarity with solar-specific software (e.g., PVsyst, etc).
• Experience with system implementation, such as CMS, SCADA, or IoT platforms in an industrial or energy context.
• Strong leadership potential, with experience mentoring junior analysts or leading projects.

Required Skills

• Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities, with expertise in statistical modelling, machine learning, and big data handling.
• Excellent communication skills to translate complex data into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in solar PV performance metrics (e.g., Performance Ratio, Availability, Degradation Rates).
• Project management skills for CMS rollout, including vendor coordination and change management.
• Ability to work independently initially, with a proactive mindset for team building.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of O&M best practices in solar farms, including predictive maintenance and asset optimization.
• Certifications in data analytics (e.g., Google Data Analytics, Certified Analytics Professional) or renewable energy (e.g., NABCEP).
• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) for data storage and processing.
