Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Operational Engineer with hands-on experience in managing large-scale batch job workflows and strong SQL capabilities. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of cloud technologies, particularly AWS, and will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth functioning of operational systems and data workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor, manage, and optimize batch job workflows using tools such as Control-M, Airflow, or Autosys.
• Work with PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Cassandra databases to support data operations and query optimization.
• Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of workflows.
• Utilize AWS services like SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and EKS for system and data operations.
• Troubleshoot operational issues, analyze root causes, and implement long-term fixes.
• Develop or enhance automation scripts using Python or Shell scripting to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills:

SQL

AWS (SQS, SNS, Dynamo DB, EKS)

Python/Shell Scripting

Primary:

• Strong SQL skills with hands-on experience in PostgreSQL, Snowflake, or Cassandra
• Proficient in managing and troubleshooting batch job workflows using Control-M, Airflow, or Autosys

Secondary:

• Experience with AWS services including SQS, SNS, DynamoDB, and EKS

Good to Have:

• Knowledge of Python or Shell scripting for automation and monitoring
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools is a plus

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
