As an Operations Associate – Finance & Compliance , you will play a critical role in managing and streamlining core business functions like payments, reconciliation, compliance workflows, and financial reporting. You’ll work closely with the founding team and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure our operations are efficient, compliant, and scalable. What We Offer Competitive compensation and ESOPs A MacBook for your work Remote work (India Remote) Annual offsites for team bonding A flexible leave policy The opportunity to shape the financial backbone of a growing fintech startup Your Role and Responsibilities Payments & Financial Operations: Track and reconcile customer deposits and payments, maintain accurate financial records, and assist with reporting. Compliance Monitoring: Keep track of compliance requirements related to Central Bank regulations, ISO certifications, and any other country-specific regulatory needs. Onboarding & Ongoing Compliance: Support KYC/KYB processes and ensure regular updates and checks are carried out as per guidelines. Automation & Efficiency: Use tools, scripts, or AI assistants to automate routine processes and reporting tasks wherever possible. Process Documentation: Create and maintain internal checklists, workflows, and documentation for recurring operations and compliance processes. Cross-functional Communication: Collaborate with engineering, customer success, and product teams to flag operational risks and improve internal tooling. Partner Support: Coordinate with banks, financial institutions, and billers for settlement and compliance queries. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is mandatory (as required by regulatory expectations). Experience: 2–4 years of professional experience in banking, financial services, or financial consulting. Drive & Accountability: You take ownership of problems end-to-end, from understanding the requirement to breaking it down and driving it to resolution with clear next steps. Tools, Tech & Automation: Proficiency in day-to-day operational tools, with a strong interest in streamlining work using scripts, automation platforms, and AI. Operations: Demonstrated ability to manage high-volume, detail-sensitive financial tasks. Fintech Curiosity: Deep interest in fintech, financial infrastructure, and startup operations. Soft Skills: Highly organized, reliable, and proactive. Excellent written and verbal communication. Bonus Skills Credentials such as CA (Inter), CFA (Level 1+), CPA Foundation, or other finance/compliance certifications.
