Key Responsibilities: 1. Industrial Engineering & Process Optimization Conduct time & motion studies, work measurement, and line balancing to improve workflow efficiency. Develop and optimize plant layouts for improved material flow and space utilization. Implement ergonomic best practices to enhance worker productivity. Work on automation & digitalization of manufacturing processes. 2. Continuous Improvement & Lean Implementation Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, 5S, Kaizen, and TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) initiatives. Conduct Value Stream Mapping (VSM) to eliminate waste and optimize processes. Standardize work methods using Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) . 3. Cost Optimization & Resource Efficiency Identify and implement cost-saving strategies through waste reduction and process improvements. Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) and machine utilization. Optimize raw material usage, energy consumption, and manpower allocation . 4. Performance Monitoring & Data-Driven Decision Making Use Industrial Engineering metrics (Cycle Time, Takt Time, Line Efficiency) for performance tracking. Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), FMEA, and 8D problem-solving for defect prevention. Implement real-time monitoring systems for production and process control. 5. Automation & Digital Transformation Identify opportunities for Industry 4.0 technologies , such as IoT, AI-based predictive maintenance, and smart manufacturing . Work with PLC/SCADA teams to enhance automation in manufacturing processes. Implement digital tools for real-time production tracking and reporting . 6. Training & Capability Building Conduct training sessions on Lean, Six Sigma, Industrial Engineering, and Continuous Improvement tools . Develop Kaizen culture by encouraging employees to participate in process enhancements. Collaborate with HR for workforce skill development and productivity enhancement programs . 7. Safety, Compliance & Sustainability Ensure compliance with ISO, OSHA, and other industrial safety standards . Implement environment-friendly initiatives to support sustainability goals. Work on carbon footprint reduction by optimizing energy and material usage. Qualifications & Skills: Education: B.E./B.Tech in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical, or Production Engineering. MBA (Operations/Lean Management) is a plus. Experience: 8-12 years of experience in Operational Excellence, Industrial Engineering, Lean Manufacturing, and Process Improvement in a manufacturing setup. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles (Time Study, Work Study, Process Flow Analysis, Capacity Planning, Line Balancing, and Plant Layout Optimization) . Expertise in Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, and 5S methodologies . Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, ERP systems, OEE tracking tools, and Industrial Automation systems . Proficiency in data analytics, process simulation, and decision-making models . Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to work with cross-functional teams and drive change.
