Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations and health checks of modernized applications and cloud-native platforms.
  • Provide hands-on support for containerized deployments, microservices, and modern application stacks.
  • Manage and troubleshoot applications running on Kubernetes/OpenShift or similar platforms.
  • Support CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and automated deployments.
  • Collaborate closely with the customer’s engineering and operations teams for issue resolution and optimization.
  • Monitor application performance, logs, and platform metrics to proactively prevent incidents.
  • Assist in refactoring, re-platforming, and modernization tasks as part of ongoing application transformation efforts.
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and operational workflows.
  • Participate in daily standups, planning meetings, and operational reviews with customer teams.
  • Ensure best practices in security, scalability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Expertise

  • Strong experience in

    application modernization

    and cloud-native architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with

    Kubernetes

    ,

    OpenShift

    , or other container platforms.
  • Good understanding of

    Microservices

    ,

    APIs

    ,

    Event-Driven architecture

    , and modern application patterns.
  • Experience with

    CI/CD tools

    (Tekton, Argo CD, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or similar).
  • Proficiency with

    Docker

    , container image builds, and troubleshooting container workloads.
  • Strong scripting/automation skills (YAML, Bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms such as

    AWS, Azure, or GCP

    .
  • Good understanding of logging, monitoring, and observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Loki, etc.).
