About OneAi / XcelAI OneAi builds XcelAI — a simple, affordable invoice extraction + conversational Excel assistant for small businesses and franchise owners. Our mission: remove manual data entry and make spreadsheet workflows conversational. Role (summary): Join as technical cofounder to own backend systems, document ingestion & OCR pipelines, LLM orchestration, infra & security, and delivery of the XcelAI MVP into production. Responsibilities: Architect and build the ingestion pipeline (upload → OCR → extraction → DB). Implement and iterate on OCR + LLM-based extraction (Tesseract / Textract / Vision API + prompt/LLM orchestration). Design scalable APIs, job queueing (worker), retries, and monitoring. Implement data model, confidence scoring, and edit/save flows. Manage infra: S3 (or equivalent), Cloud Functions / ECS / Cloud Run, CI/CD, backups. Build export connectors (CSV, Excel, Google Sheets). Ensure basic security & privacy (TLS, auth, encryption at rest). Work closely with founder on product, pilot onboarding, and customer troubleshooting. Mentor engineers and technical hires as we scale. Must-have: 3+ years backend production experience (Node/Python/Go). Experience with OCR/document parsing (Tesseract, AWS Textract, Google Vision, or Nanonets). Experience with LLMs or prompt orchestration (OpenAI, Gemini, LangChain etc.). Cloud infra experience (AWS/GCP/Azure). Solid DB skills (Postgres, MongoDB) and queueing systems (Redis/RabbitMQ). Familiar with CI/CD, logging, and basic security practices. Clear communicator; willing to do customer onboarding & support for pilots. Comfortable as an early co-founder (equity-first, full-time). Nice-to-have: Google Sheets / Excel API integrations. Experience with file processing at scale, multi-page PDFs, or image clean-up. Startup / founder experience. Domain experience with SMB accounting, retail/franchise workflows. Commitment & Compensation Part-time founder role. Equity: 20–40% ( negotiable ; typical 4-year vesting with 1-year cliff). Exact split will depend on prior contributions and commitment. Small stipend / monthly support during transition negotiable (recommended to offer a short paid trial). Title: CTO / Co-founder.
