Job Description

Job Profile

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Security Monitoring L1 to join our organization. You will be responsible for safeguarding our IT infrastructure, monitoring networks for security breaches, and implementing security measures and best practices. This role is critical in protecting sensitive company and customer data from threats and vulnerabilities.

Role & responsibilities

Monitor, analyze, and respond to security events, incidents, and alerts.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Implement and manage security tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, DLP, firewalls,
endpoint security, IAM, etc.).
Develop, update, and enforce IT security policies, procedures, and standards.
Perform risk assessments and recommend mitigation strategies.
Manage user access controls and monitor privileged accounts.
Ensure compliance with frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR, and internal audit requirements.
Lead or support incident response efforts and produce post-incident reports.
Conduct security awareness training for employees.
Work with IT teams to ensure secure architecture, cloud security, and network hardening.

Preferred candidate profile

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, or related field.
Strong understanding of network security, operating systems, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
Hands-on experience with security tools (SIEM, EDR, firewalls, etc.).
Knowledge of security standards (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS Controls).
Understanding of threat detection, malware analysis, and incident handling.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
