Job Title: OASIS Approver/Coder Experience Required: 2 - 10 years Location : Chennai, Remote Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented OASIS Approver/Coder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in home health coding and OASIS reviews, along with expertise in ICD-10-CM coding. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to improving patient care through accurate and efficient documentation. Qualifications: Experience : Minimum of 2 years in routine coding and OASIS review, with a strong background in home health or home health coding. Certifications : Coding certification (BCHH-C or HCS-D) and OASIS certification (COS-C, COQS, or HCS-O) are mandatory. Knowledge : Familiarity with WellSky is preferred, along with the ability to learn and adapt quickly to other EMR systems. Technical Requirements : Reliable high-speed internet and a computer less than 3 years old. Skills : Strong organizational and time-management abilities. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Attention to detail with the ability to spot inconsistencies or errors in documentation. Familiarity with CMS regulations and state-specific healthcare laws. Adaptability, flexibility, and problem-solving capabilities. Capability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. Duties and Responsibilities: Accurately code clinical records using EMR systems and scrubbing software, ensuring compliance with ICD-10-CM standards. Review OASIS assessments, Plans of Care/485, and makes corrections based on CMS regulations, industry standards, and clinical documentation. Provide recommendations to enhance patient care plans, following referral information and hospital/physician documents. Use clinical knowledge to assess documentation for best practices and improve quality of care. Suggest referrals to other disciplines based on patient needs. Collaborate with multiple teams to resolve coding, OASIS, and Plan of Care/485 issues efficiently. Stay updated with ongoing education in ICD-10 coding, industry standards, and regulatory changes. Maintain a 97% or higher quality score in coding reviews through audits in 485 reviews. Present educational sessions, mentor team members, and support agency education programs. Adhere to federal/state guidelines and maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA standards. Meet daily productivity and documentation requirements through effective time management.
