Job Description

As the Nursing Supervisor at this healthcare facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient functioning of the OP & ER/Triage department. Your responsibilities will include: - Managing the Op & ER routine, equipment, and patients effectively. - Coordinating with Guest Relations to plan resource deployment based on appointments and escalate if additional resources are required during busy periods. - Assigning duties to the nursing staff, ensuring a mix of experience and skills per shift. - Ensuring nurses are competent, follow protocols, and handle tasks assigned to them proficiently. - Assisting gynecologists, obstetricians, and pediatricians in procedures related to mothers, pediatrics, and neonates. - Handling emergencies competently, providing guidance, and making timely decisions. - Upholding patient rights, maintaining confidentiality of patient information, and ensuring medication safety and patient safety protocols are followed. - Providing health education and counseling to patients and their attendants. - Implementing infection control practices, NABH, and Nursing Excellence standards. - Managing inventory, cost control, and coordinating with the billing team regarding investigations and billing activities. - Working closely with the clinical services team to ensure efficient care delivery. Furthermore, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service experiences by: - Ensuring the team is well-groomed and maintains discipline and decorum. - Implementing the Service Vision to ensure nurses deliver services that delight customers. - Coordinating with support service departments to ensure customer comfort and service standards are met. - Maintaining cordial relationships within the team and other departments. Additionally, you will be expected to: - Build and maintain good relationships with consultants. - Inspire and lead your team effectively, resolving immediate problems and delegating tasks appropriately. - Conduct training and coaching sessions to enhance team skills and conduct fair appraisals. - Develop a competent second line and ensure team retention.
