Nuclear Medicine Consultant

Role Overview: As a Nuclear Medicine Physician at Cancer Centers of America (CCA), your role involves consulting with patients and healthcare providers to determine the most appropriate nuclear medicine procedures for diagnosis or treatment. You will be responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals, interpreting the results of nuclear medicine scans, and evaluating patient medical histories. Additionally, you will be prescribing radiopharmaceuticals, monitoring patients during procedures, providing patient care, and ensuring radiation safety measures are adhered to. Key Responsibilities: - Consulting with patients and healthcare providers - Administering radiopharmaceuticals and creating images of the body's organs - Interpreting nuclear medicine scan results - Evaluating patient medical histories and current health statuses - Prescribing radiopharmaceuticals for treatment and diagnostic purposes - Monitoring patients during procedures and recovery - Providing patient care before, during, and after procedures - Following up with patients and monitoring their response to treatment - Conducting research to develop new nuclear medicine techniques - Keeping abreast of advancements in nuclear medicine - Collaborating with other healthcare professionals - Ensuring radiological procedures meet industry standards - Educating patients and families about nuclear medicine procedures - Ordering and maintaining supplies and equipment Qualifications: - Expertise in Nuclear Medicine and familiarity with diagnostic procedures - Experience working within Cardiology and Emergency Medicine contexts - Proficiency in collaborating with Physicians and Medical Teams - Ability to train and mentor medical staff - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - Advanced certifications in Nuclear Medicine and relevant board certifications are preferred - Medical degree (MD or equivalent) with specialization in Nuclear Medicine,
