Position Overview: As a Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with AML/AFT regulations within the Credit Card Operations department. Reporting to the Supervisor, you will conduct investigative and assessment activities, working on reports and verifying information to identify and mitigate risks associated with money laundering and terrorist financing. This role offers a solid foundation for a career in Credit Card Operations, leveraging your experience in Risk Operations and/or Financial Services within a Call Centre environment. Key Responsibilities: Alert Review and Investigation: Investigate accounts and internet sources to determine cardholder eligibility as Politically Exposed Persons/Foreign Persons (PEP/PEFP). Conduct thorough investigations to make determinations related to the Suppression of Terrorism and Economic Sanctions (SOT). Review and analyze unusual transactions that may qualify for reporting under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) guidelines. Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data quickly and efficiently to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with AML/AFT regulations. Maintain a high level of accuracy in report maintenance and tracking, ensuring all findings are documented and reported appropriately. Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure all activities are conducted in compliance with relevant AML/AFT legislation and internal policies. Collaborate with other departments to address and mitigate identified risks. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: 2-3 years of experience in AML operations or related fields. 1-2 years of customer service experience is an asset. Skills and Competencies: Strong understanding of AML/AFT legislation and regulatory requirements, including the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA). Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Suite Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Strong keyboarding skills and working knowledge of PCs.
