As an experienced Backend Developer, your role will involve working in distributed/microservices environments, focusing on Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js. You will be responsible for interfacing with LLMs using LangChain and PostgreSQL, while also contributing to AI/ML tasks using Python. Your expertise in backend development will be crucial for maintaining comprehensive tests for the systems. Additionally, you will collaborate asynchronously and across different time zones. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize your 6+ years of expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js for backend development. - Interface with LLMs using LangChain for prompt engineering and fine-tuning. - Apply your solid understanding of PostgreSQL to database operations. - Contribute to AI/ML tasks with basic to intermediate Python knowledge. - Familiarize yourself with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for efficient development workflows. - Implement microservice architectures and ensure system reliability through comprehensive testing. - Collaborate effectively in asynchronous environments and across various time zones. Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. - 6+ years of backend development experience in distributed/microservices environments. - Strong expertise in Node.js, TypeScript, and Express.js. - Hands-on experience with LangChain for interfacing with LLMs. - Proficiency in PostgreSQL for database operations. - Basic to intermediate experience in Python for AI/ML tasks. - Familiarity with Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines. - Experience with at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud preferred, AWS acceptable). - Understanding of microservice architectures. - Ability to write and maintain comprehensive tests for backend systems. Company Additional Details: (if applicable) - Prior experience with Terraform and CircleCI is a plus. - Knowledge of PHP is beneficial but not mandatory. - Previous experience integrating third-party AI vendors is preferred. - Background in media, publishing, or newsroom technology is advantageous for this role.
