Role & Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices using Node.js.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that meets performance and security standards.
• Work with both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB or MongoDB) databases.
• Optimize database queries, indexing, and schema design for speed and scalability.
• Ensure high performance, reliability, and security across backend systems.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to integrate user-facing features with backend services.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Stay up to date with the latest tools, frameworks, and backend technologies.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 3–4 years of hands-on experience in backend development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and building RESTful APIs.
• Proficient in PostgreSQL — schema design, migrations, transactions, and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB or MongoDB.
• Understanding of microservices architecture and API design patterns.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, Mocha) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Able to work independently and deliver quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have:
Experience with ORMs (Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize), AWS services (Lambda, ECS, RDS), and Docker or container-based environments.
