Node js developer

As a Backend Developer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express.js. Your focus will be on building microservices with an emphasis on modularity, performance, and reliability. You will also be tasked with implementing containerized solutions using Docker and orchestrating them using Kubernetes or equivalent technologies. Additionally, you will integrate and deploy services on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Collaboration with front-end developers and product teams will be crucial as you work together to define APIs and application flows. Ensuring security, performance, and observability best practices across all services will be a key part of your role. You will participate in agile development, conduct code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD automation and deployment pipelines. To be successful in this role, you should have at least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js and Express.js (or NestJS). A strong understanding of REST APIs, asynchronous programming, and event-driven architecture is essential. You must also possess solid experience with Docker and knowledge of Kubernetes or other orchestration tools. Practical experience deploying and managing services on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is required. Proficiency with Git, Agile processes, and CI/CD tooling (such as GitHub Actions, Bitbucket, GitLab CI, Jenkins, etc.) is expected. Additionally, familiarity with databases like PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or others will be beneficial. Bonus skills that would be nice to have include experience with React.js or Angular, familiarity with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Azure Functions), exposure to message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, etc.), and knowledge of unit testing and performance monitoring tools (e.g., Jest, Mocha, New Relic, Prometheus). Qualifications for this role include a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. A proven track record of shipping production-ready backend services is also required. Certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP are optional but considered a significant plus.
