Node.js Developer- Urgent Fix Required for Production Login API Issue (Short-Term Project)

We are looking for an experienced Node.js backend developer to urgently investigate and fix a login API issue in a production Flutter mobile app

Project Background:

• The app was built around Flutter SDK v3.0.0 (codebase from 2022).
• The login API (/apiv2/auth/login) is returning a 404 HTML page instead of the expected JSON response.
• Flutter developer has confirmed the frontend is functioning as expected.
• This is a live issue, impacting real users needs resolution within 1-2 working days.

Scope of Work:

• Audit the backend (Node.js) for broken or missing login API endpoints
• Restore or recreate the /apiv2/auth/login endpoint
• Ensure support for JSON POST requests with email/password authentication
• Return proper JSON-formatted success/error responses
• Work with the mobile team to validate the fix.

Skills Required:

• Node.js with Express or similar frameworks
• REST API development and debugging
• Familiarity with production server environments (e.g., cPanel, Heroku, AWS)
• Error handling and structured API response formatting
• (Nice to have) Understanding of potential CMS/WordPress interference with routes

Engagement Details:

Immediate start (once shortlisted)

Short-term project with a 1-2 day turnaround

This is a one-time project, but if successful, well explore longer-term collaboration opportunities
