Role & responsibilities 1. Conduct manual testing activities to ensure the quality and reliability of product and services. 2. Create and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on project requirements and specifications. 3. Utilize automated test scripts to conduct Functional/Regression tests. 4. Identify, document, and report defects, issues, and risks using appropriate defect tracking tools. 5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers and designers, to understand requirements and provide input. 6. Participate in defect troubleshooting calls with Development and Environment support teams to narrow down issues and assign defects appropriately. 7. Perform functional, regression, integration, and system testing to validate software applications and systems. 8. Publish testing status reports and closure reports. 9. Assist in the creation of test data and test tools to support testing activities. 10. Conduct defect triage meetings, providing details about defects to the team. 11. Be responsible for all aspects of quality assurance manual testing. 12. Monitor and debug issues in both staging and production environments. 13. Conduct manual testing of front-end, API, and back-end layers. 14. Build and execute detailed test plans from functional requirements. 15. Resolve technical issues of environments and explore alternate workarounds. 16. Be an individual contributor for testing from analysis to build delivery. 17. Review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback. 18. Have good experience in database testing, GUI/usability testing, and stress testing. 19. Perform web application and mobile application (Android, iOS) testing. 20. Possess good knowledge of Test Case preparation, review, and execution, Defects review and management, and Black Box Testing. 21. Demonstrate experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. 22. Have exposure to functional and other forms of manual testing techniques. 23. Exhibit good exposure in database testing using SQL queries. 24. Work with bug-tracking tools like Mantis, JIRA, and Agile methodology.
